Plan of Le Bruget The plan of the Château du Bruget is very simple and is reflected in the twin Hautsegur castle in Meyras. The North Western round tower was built first, in the 12th century.A rectangular dungeon, now the Grande Salle and its basement, were erected later on. The final building was designed and built at the end of 16th century. There are several monumental chimneys, each with a large sheath.

Aerial view This aerial view shows very well the building's characteristics. The courtyard was closed to the south by a tall wall that has been lowered in the 20th century. Two large gates closed the courtyard eastern and western accesses.
