The SiteThe Château du Bruget dominates the alluvial valley of Lignon upstream of Jaujac to the right of the picture. The twin gneissic peaks in the background are faliliarly named "Les Bosses de Chameau" | View from the southSeen from south the Château Bruget unveils its renaissance façade whose main decorations are the mullions and the supports of the ruined surveillance walkway. The round tower in the center contains the spiral staircase. The best view of the south façade is from the valley or from the road of the Croix of Millet Unfortunately the house is often hidden by an invasive vegetation. |

View from the NorthThe Château du Bruget was surrounded by steeply sloping meadows. A wide path was installed on the north side to allow the access of cars and machinery. The Bruget is built on the Prades Jaujac coal deposit. When this coal was deposited the Bruget was at very high altitude in an equatorial environment. | WalksDifferent trails leads to the Château Bruget .The direct one is 1 Km long and the nice trail on the northern ridge, via Le Fau, is 2 Km, Walking around the house is usually permitted during daytime. Nice and polite visitors will be proposed a guided visit, if feasible. |
